Designer statement Wajer 55 "Supernova"

Dries Wajer, Commercial Director for Wajer Yachts: “11·11 is the finest example of superyacht design and performance. We are delighted to deliver an equally impressive Wajer 55 tender for the owner, boasting the same high specification and superior technical, aesthetic and functional strengths.” At 55ft and with capacity for up to 20 passengers, "Supernova" offers an exceptional degree of comfort, state-of-the-art innovation and superior performance for the ultimate owner’s experience. Featuring a sporty exterior, high-tech V-design hull and lightweight construction, Supernova is powered by three Volvo Penta IPS600 D6-435 HP engines and offers a superbly smooth ride with excellent manoeuvrability in the water and a top speed of 38 knots.

Unique Innovations

The technological advances and smart features of this powerful tender can also be seen in the unique push button fender system. Fenders pop out from the side and inflate automatically which can be operated remotely as well as from the main steering station screen. Wajer is the first yacht builder to implement such a system on a yacht below 17 metres. The innovations continue with a hydraulically operated anchor concealed in the bow which can also be conveniently operated from the steering console aided by a camera. The swim platform, developed and produced in the Netherlands exclusively for the Wajer 55, is exceptionally large and doubles as a gangway. At 1.8 metres, this smart passerelle is wide enough for several guests and adjusts to the height of the quay.

Supernova

The state-of-the-art cockpit features a Raymarine glass bridge system with four touchscreens at the helm and four captain’s chairs with custom suspension, offering guests the opportunity to join in the fun of sailing. A wraparound glass wind- shield – a signature Wajer feature – measures almost four metres wide for optimising views whilst offering additional protection from the elements. Supernova’s interior finishes coordinate perfectly with the interior aesthetic of 11·11 and include the same detailed craftsmanship and intricate attention, delivering a consistently high-quality on-board experience. Luxuriously equipped with two overnight cabins (one double and one twin) catering for up to six guests and a well-appointed galley, Supernova is incredibly spacious and comfortable for sailing in unsheltered waters.
